Inter CEO Beppe Marotta: “We’re On The Same Boat As Antonio Conte & We’re Not In A Storm”

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has insisted that everyone at Inter is well aware of what must be done in the UEFA Champions League group stage ahead of their penultimate group stage encounter which comes away to German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach

“This has suddenly become the most balanced group. We’ll sit down and make some calculations after the final result.

“We know that we need six points from the last two games, that goes without saying,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

Marotta then went on to express his thoughts with regards to next weeks final group stage match which there could be plenty to play for provided Inter win tonight.

“The last round of matches will be decisive for both qualification to the Round of 16 and also the Europa League, in my view.”

In conclusion the former Juventus executive reaffirmed the club’s trust in Inter manager Antonio Conte by insisting that everyone is totally united.

“There has always been harmony with Conte, the coach is very demanding, we all know this and that is why we brought him in.

“We are always ready for any difficulty and are totally united, but I want to point out that the ship is not in stormy waters.”

Inter must win the match against Borussia Monchengladbach to stand any chance of making it into the next round of the competition.

Anything other than victory against the Germans will result in Inter crashing out of the competition at the group stage for the third consecutive season.
