AC Milan will know by Christmas whether or not they will be able to agree a new contract with midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Turkish national team player’s contract is due to expire at the end of this season and as per this report, the Rossoneri club will offer him a new deal worth €4 million a year, which is €3 million less than what his agent had asked for just a month ago.

His agent began to offer his client out to other clubs given his expiring contract status with both Juventus and Inter understood to be among a plethora of clubs offered the chance to bring Calhanoglu in but his agent’s demands have seemingly made potential suitors desist.

The report goes on to add that the player would like to resolve his future as soon as possible and everything will depend on the meeting that will take place by Christmas.

If Calhanoglu’s demands drop and he is satisfied with AC Milan’s offer then it is possible that he could sign the new deal by the end of this year.
