Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has admitted that he must wait and see what Chelsea manager Frank Lampard’s plans are for him off the back of his sensational individual performance in the Premier League club’s 4-0 win away to Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League.

The veteran French striker, who has struggled for regular game time this season, was given the start and repaid Lampard for the faith shown in him by scoring all four of the London based club’s goals.

“Will I be the starter? Let me enjoy the evening and this great victory. After we will rest and see what the manager’s plan is,” he explained in an interview with British broadcaster BT Sport following the end of last night’s match in Spain.

“I will try to go on like this to finish the good work done by the team, it’s always nice to make history because in the end we play for that. I’m happy to have helped the team by scoring four goals.”

The former Arsenal player has long been linked with a potential move away from Stamford Bridge and he has been linked with a whole array of clubs ahead of the upcoming January transfer window including Inter and MLS franchise Inter Miami.

This season Giroud has made 10 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a total of six goals in just under 300 minutes on the field.
