Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, right wing-back Achraf Hakimi and striker Romelu Lukaku are amongst the 10 best players in their respective positions this year according to sports broadcaster ESPN’s FC100 rankings.
ESPN have published their annual rankings of the 10 best players per position with the three Inter players above all featuring.
Starting with Handanovic, he ranks 9th overall of the 10 goalkeeper category. He is directly ahead of Manchester United’s David De Gea and the category was ‘won’ by Bayern Munich and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Hakimi, who joined Inter in the Summer transfer window from Real Madrid, has ranked second among right backs and was beaten to top spot by Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Lukaku meanwhile finished fifth in the striker category, just ahead of AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and behind Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane. Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski was named the best striker on the planet in this calendar year as part of the FC100 rankings.
