Inter manager Antonio Conte continues to dream of having Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante in his Inter team according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Conte has been wanting Kante for a long time and wanted him signed in the most recent transfer window but Inter were ultimately unable to make a move for the Frenchman due to having limited funds coupled with Chelsea’s high demands.

Whilst Conte’s desire to be able to work with Kante at Inter remains, the report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to insist that trying to sign Kante would continue be an extremely costly.

The Frenchman joined Chelsea in the Summer of 2016 off the back of winning the Premier League with Leicester City and he played a key role in Conte’s Premier League winning Chelsea side.

This season Kante has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided two assists for his teammates.
