Matteo Darmian is proving his worth at Inter with his performances on the pitch in recent weeks according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter signed Darmian from Parma in the last transfer window to the amazement of some yet in his few months with the club, he has proven himself to many people, first of all Inter manager Antonio Conte, who already knew him well from working with him when in charge of the Italian national team player.

Conte wanted Darmian and was fundamental in putting the former Manchester United player in the right conditions to make the most out of him.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to add that with such a reliable player in the squad, it allows fellow Summer transfer window recruit Achraf Hakimi to calmly complete his adaptation to Italian football.

Hakimi remains a certainty for Inter but must regain his confidence and understand what he needs to do in order to make a difference in Conte’s team.
