Three positions in the Inter starting line-up for tomorrow evening’s Serie A match at home to Bologna are being competed for according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar are competing with one another for the starting left centre back role whilst Stefan de Vrij and Andrea Ranocchia are battling it out for the central centre back role. As things stand, Bastoni and de Vrij are currently winning in their respective battles for the start.

The other position being battled for is left wing-back. Ashley Young and Ivan Perisic are in competition with one another and as things stand Perisic is leading the race for the start at left wing-back.

The report goes on to add that Arturo Vidal will replace Nicolo Barella who will be rested whilst Alexis Sanchez will replace Lautaro Martinez who will also be rested.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Arturo Vidal, Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Gagliardini, Ivan Perisic; Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez.
