Matteo Darmian’s goal in Inter’s 3-2 UEFA Champions League group stage win over Borussia Monchengladbach was Inter’s quickest Champions League goal since Lautaro Martinez’s goal versus Borussia Dortmund in the 2019/20 group stage Inter have highlighted via photo sharing social media platform Instagram.
Lautaro scored five minutes into what turned out to be a 3-2 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund whilst Darmian’s goal against Borussia Monchengladbach which broke the deadlock at Borussia Park came after 17 minutes.
Inter posted: “Did you know? Matteo Darmian’s goal is the fastest that Inter have scored in the Champions League since November 2019, when Lautaro Martinez found the net against Borussia Dortmund.”
