Inter have taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to highlight the history that Romelu Lukaku made by scoring a brace against Borussia Monchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League earlier on this week.

The Belgian national team forward’s brace helped Inter to record an all important 3-2 win away to the German club and this was the second brace that he scored against them during the group stage.

By scoring the brace on Tuesday night, Lukaku became the first Inter player in club history to have scored more than once against the same opponents in the Champions League.

Inter posted: “Did you know? Romelu Lukaku is the first player in Inter’s history to score more than once on two occasions against the same team in the Champions League.”
