Inter wing back Achraf Hakimi discussed tonight’s important 3-1 win over Bologna in an interview with Italian broadcaster DAZN after the game.

“People talk a lot, I am always the same. I think about working and helping the team, adapting to the new type of football.”

The 22-year-old Moroccan, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2025, then touched on how he is adapting to Italian football and coach Antonio Conte’s system.

“Conte always helps me, he talks to me a lot and explains what he wants and where I can improve. Slowly I hope I can satisfy him. At speed, and with so much of the pitch ahead, I can show my best qualities.”

Finally, Hakimi spoke about his grasp of the Italian language and culture at large.

“I am learning Italian, but also the habits of the country and the city of Milan.”

The 22-year-old Hakimi, who joined the Milanese club from Real Madrid in a deal worth around €40 million in the summer transfer window, scored twice in the 3-1 win over the Rossoblu earlier tonight, with the third goal coming from Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku.

The former Borussia Dortmund wing back has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in that time.

Inter’s win over Bologna means that they are second again in the league table, sitting on 21 points, two behind rivals AC Milan who play tomorrow.

Their next game is against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk next week, a key Champions League clash. Antonio Conte’s side need to win if they want to qualify for the next round of the competition.
