Inter midfielders Christian Eriksen and Radja Nainggolan seem destined to leave the Nerazzurri in the upcoming January transfer window, as the club look to sign a new defensive midfielder and backup striker, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Milanese club are looking to sell both the 28-year-old Dane and 33-year-old Belgian in January, with neither player fitting coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system.

The Milanese club are hoping to strengthen their squad after selling the pair, with a new defensive midfielder and backup striker needed by the 51-year-old Italian coach.

Conte’s favourite options to fill these gaps are Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Olivier Giroud, who both started in the win against Leeds yesterday. The French midfielder would be too expensive and the Blues aren’t looking to let him go.

The alternative to the 34-year-old Giroud is Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik, although he would be more expensive.
