Inter wing back Achraf Hakimi discussed the Nerazzurri’s important 3-1 win over Bologna earlier this evening in an interview with Italian broadcaster Inter TV after the game.

First, he commented on how it felt to score his first goals in the San Siro stadium.

“I am happy for the two goals in our stadium, I want to dedicate them to our fans despite the empty stadium. I must continue to adapt quickly to the game and my teammates. These are three fundamental points for our path.”

The 22-year-old Moroccan wing back then touched on the team’s important preparations for today’s game.

“Yes, the truth is that we are improving on a defensive level and balance, match after match. An improvement follows also in our way of attacking and scoring.”

The former Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid player was happy to learn that he was the youngest defender in the top five leagues in Europe to score a brace and the only defender in Serie A with three goals and three assists so far.

“I didn’t know, I’m happy with these stats. I will continue to work for my goals and for the team to win.”

Finally, Hakimi looked ahead to next week’s decisive Champions League clash against Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk.

“It is a very important match, as you say it is a final. We are preparing for it so that we can pass the round and make it to the round of 16.”

The 22-year-old Hakimi, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2025, has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 847 minutes. In that time, he has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
