Inter wing back Achraf Hakimi’s performance against Bologna yesterday quickly erased any doubts about the player, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 22-year-old Moroccan wing back, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2025, scored an important brace against the Rossoblu yesterday, his first two goals inside the San Siro.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid player has shown that he is working hard to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s system and Italian football in general.

Hakimi has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 847 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided four assists, being the youngest defender in Europe’s top 5 leagues to reach these figures at this stage of the season.

Inter’s win over Bologna means that they are second again in the league table, sitting on 21 points, two behind rivals AC Milan who play Sampdoria tonight.
