Inter wing back Ivan Perisic displayed his adaption to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system in yesterday’s 3-1 win over Bologna, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 31-year-old Croatian wing back, who had a successful loan spell with German giants Bayern Munich last season, initially struggled to adapt to Conte’s system, being deploying much deeper than usual as a left wing back rather than a forward or winger.

After a handful of games at the start of the season, Conte decided to play Perisic as a second striker, but he was not particularly convincing in the role.

Despite this, Perisic has continued working hard and yesterday’s strong performance against the Rossoblu, including providing an assist from a curling cross, showed his adaptions to the 51-year-old Italian’s tactics.

The 31-year-old Croatian has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 837 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals and provided three assists.
