The result that Inter get in Wednesday’s final UEFA Champions League group stage match at home to Shakhtar Donetsk will determine what they do with their attack in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

If Inter are to win and the result in the other group stage game goes in their favour they will progress to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League or they could end up dropping into the Europa League.

If this happens, Inter will try to move current fourth choice striker Andrea Pinamonti on and could bring in either Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud or Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik.

However, if Inter are knocked out of European competition entirely, which will be the case if they fail to win versus Shakhtar Donetsk then they will keep Pinamonti in the squad to act as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez.
