There is some confidence ahead of Arturo Vidal’s condition being assessed today after picking up an injury during Inter’s 3-1 win over Bologna at the weekend according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player picked up a thigh injury during the match at San Siro which led to him asking to be brought off.

Yesterday Vidal was present at Inter’s training ground to carry out physiotherapy and today his condition will be re-evaluated by club medical staff.

In the event that the tests do not go how Inter hope, the report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Inter manager Antonio Conte will be obliged to make certain choice for the midfield in tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League group stage match versus Shakhtar Donetsk.

If Vidal is unavailable, Roberto Gagliardini, Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic will all play in the midfield as they will be the only players available to start.
