Inter Medical Staff Doing Everything To Recover Nicolo Barella For Shakhtar Donetsk Clash

Inter’s medical staff will do everything to try and recover Nicolo Barella for tomorrow’s final UEFA Champions League group stage match at home to Shakhtar Donetsk according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Barella is currently considered a great doubt for tomorrow’s match at San Siro after he injured his ankle in training yesterday. He left Inter’s training ground on crutches and yesterday evening things looked far from positive with the Italian national team player in pain and there being swelling to the affected area.

The Rome based news outlet state Inter’s medical staff will do everything because in addition to Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic, there are only two others available, Stefano Sensi, who is not 100% and Christian Eriksen, who is out of the Inter project.

This season Barella has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided four assists for his teammates.
