Inter have provided an update on the condition of central midfielder Arturo Vidal via an official statement posted on the club website a short time ago.

The Chilean national team player was forced off the field of play in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Bologna in Serie A action and he was subject to an MRI scan today to determine the injury and extent of it.

The MRI scan has shown that Vidal has sustained a right thigh strain and the club have confirmed that his condition will be monitored day by day.

In his pre-match press conference earlier on today, Inter manager Antonio Conte already confirmed that Vidal would be unavailable for Inter’s match tomorrow in the UEFA Champions League tomorrow against Shakhtar Donetsk.

It remains to be seen whether or not Vidal, who joined Inter in the most recent transfer window from Barcelona, will be able to return for this weekend’s match away to Cagliari.
