Regardless of what he does tonight in Inter’s final UEFA Champions League group stage match at home to Shakhtar Donetsk, Christian Eriksen’s Inter fate has already been sealed according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Eriksen is largely expected to start tonight against the Ukrainian but no matter what he does, he will still leave the club in the upcoming January transfer window.

Inter are aiming to sell Eriksen and want between €30-35 million for him, a sum of money that they would then reinvest into a midfielder more functional for Inter manager Antonio Conte’s team.

The alternative to a sale is a swap deal, with it well known that Conte would like to be reunited with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante but the Frenchman is still seen as unattainable.

Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul, who Inter have been heavily linked with as of late, is regarded as a more concrete possibility.
