Progression to the next round of the UEFA Champions League would be worth in excess of €10 million to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter are due to take on Shakhtar Donetsk on the final match day of the group stage of this year’s edition of the competition tonight and have to win to stand any chance at going through.

In addition to having to win, the other group stage match between Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach must not end as a draw.

For beating Shakhtar Donetsk Inter would receive a total of €2.7 million and if they then manage to go through they will pocket a sum of €10.5 million.

All in all, beating Shakhtar Donetsk and progressing in the UEFA Champions League will see Inter pocket €13.2 million which would take Inter’s total earnings from the UEFA Champions League this term past the €50 million mark.
