Inter will play for a place in the next round of the UEFA Champions League on the final match day of the group stages for the third consecutive season tonight a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport highlights.

Two seasons ago Inter faced off against PSV Eindhoven away from home and drew 1-1, which meant they were eliminated.

Last season Inter lost 2-1 at home to a heavily rotated Barcelona side which meant they were also eliminated and the report states that it remains to be seen if Inter have learned their lesson and will, at least do their duty fully tonight and win – even if that in itself will not guarantee progression because Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach could both got through by drawing if Inter win.

Inter come into this match with limited numbers available in the midfield but Conte is hoping to use this emergency situation to stimulate his team even more.
