Inter will not have a ‘real’ January transfer window next month according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
Inter were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League at the group stage last night as they finished rock bottom of their group having picked up just six points from 18 available to them.
The Nerazzurri’s failure to qualify for the knockout stages has proved costly with them missing out on a payment of around €10 million and as a result they will not be able to have a ‘real’ January transfer window seeing as they only have the Serie A and Coppa Italia to play in between now and the end of the season.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Christian Eriksen is likely to leave the club and put an end to his difficult spell in Milan. The Dane will either be sold or loaned out.
