Lautaro Martinez and Alessandro Bastoni were the only Inter players to perform above a sufficient level for Inter in last night’s goalless draw at home to Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League according to the player ratings published in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine striker and Italian centre back have both been handed ratings of 6.5 for their efforts in the match at San Siro, the result of which meant Inter were not just eliminated from the UEFA Champions League but European football entirely seeing as they finished bottom of their group for the first time in their history.

Inter club captain and number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Alexis Sanchez and Christian Eriksen all meanwhile receieved ratings of 6/10 for their performances.

Inter right wing-back Achraf Hakimi was rated 5.5/10 whilst the worst performances on the night came from Ashley Young, Roberto Gagliardini, Romelu Lukaku and Ivan Perisic, all of whom got 5/10, which is the same rating Inter boss Antonio Conte receieved.
