Noted Italian football journalist and known Inter fan Fabrizio Biasin has taken to social media platform Facebook to express his thoughts on Inter manager’s Antonio Conte decision to play Christian Eriksen as little as he did in Inter’s UEFA Champions League group stage match versus Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday night.

Conte opted to continue his recent treatment of the Danish national team attacking midfielder as he once again brought him on for the final few minutes of the game at San Siro.

Biasin has shared his belief that Conte should have given Eriksen more playing time than he ultimately did given the former Ajax player’s wealth of European experience.

“It’s legitimate that you don’t like ‘a football idea’, but in a game where you are losing or even if not, it doesn’t make a difference, an extra half hour to your player with more European experience isn’t advisable, it’s due,” Biasin posted.

Eriksen joined Inter last January from Tottenham Hotspur but has struggled to live up to expectations during his time thus far with the Nerazzurri.

The 28-year-old has made 37 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he has scored four goals and tallied three assists.
