Christian Eriksen will find himself among the starters for Inter in this weekend’s Serie A match away to Cagliari according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Despite physical problems, Nicolo Barella managed to put a good performance in Inter’s match versus Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League group stage in mid-week but due to his efforts his ankle has swelled up and for this reason Inter manager Antonio Conte is weighing up alternatives in the midfield.

Eriksen should start alongside Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic in the middle of the park and him coming in will be one of several changes made.

Other changes will see Danilo D’Ambrosio replace Milan Skriniar and Matteo Darmian replace Ashley Young.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Roberto Gagliardini, Marcelo Brozovic, Christian Eriksen, Matteo Darmian; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
