Italian football journalist and Italian broadcaster director Fabio Ravezzani has taken to social media platform to criticise Inter manager Antonio Conte following on from Inter’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

After drawing 0-0 at home to Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League as they finished bottom of their group having picked up a very poor six points from a possible 18 and this was the third year in a row that they dropped out of the competition at this stage.

Following the match Conte lashed out at Sky Sport Italia pundit Fabio Capello as well as reporters at the post-match press conference and Ravezzani has suggested that things could get more serious if the former Italian national team boss cannot be self-critical after Inter being knocked out.

“Inter still goes out against weaker teams. If Conte fails at self-criticism, the problem becomes more serious than it seems. Vidal is a symbol of his failure. In the Champions League he gave away a penalty, got sent off, suspended and got injured. His contribution was less than zero,” he posted.

Conte is into his second year in charge of Inter and has won 39 of the 69 games that he has managed Inter in.
