Inter have never taken sacking manager Antonio Conte into consideration according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Conte’s position as manager of the club has never been questioned and there is no intention of depriving him of his duties as boss of the club half way through his contract. Rumours spread about him being sacked but such rumours were unfounded, the report insists.
The former Juventus and Italian national team boss spoke with club management yesterday afternoon at Inter’s training ground and in the meeting those in attendance analysed the current situation with it being a day of long reflections for the Nerazzurri club off the back of their recent elimination from the UEFA Champions League.
Conte became Inter manager in the Summer of 2019 and he has since went on to manage Inter in 69 matches across all competitions. The ex-Chelsea boss, who is under contract with Inter until the end of next season, has managed to win 39 of these games.
