Cagliari coach Eusebio Di Francesco discussed tomorrow’s league clash against Inter in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

“We meet a team of the highest level with players who are good technically and also physically gifted.

“Beyond Inter’s situation, we have to look at ourselves and prepare as best we can for a very delicate match against a team that knows how to attack and has great quality.

“We have to be good at fighting back blow after blow.”

He highlighted how he was not worried about the strength of his squad, despite the fact that there are many young players.

“The fact that there may be young players on the pitch is not a problem for me. As I’ve always said, it’s not the name that counts but what you bring to the pitch and how you train.

“It will be fundamental to continue the path of growth and what we are doing and it was also seen in the other matches, in the last match we had more consistency and that’s what we are looking for, together with balance.”

Cagliari are currently 12th in the Serie A table after 10 games, sitting on 12 points from three wins and three draws.

The Rossoblu have been experiencing a period of rough form, only winning one of their last five league outings, against Sampdoria over a month ago.

Inter, on the other hand, are currently third in the league table after 10 games with 21 points, experiencing good form domestically after a shaky start to the season.

The Nerazzurri have won their last three consecutive Serie A outings, and need to perform well tomorrow after their early exit from the Champions League earlier this week.
