Inter coach Antonio Conte was unhappy with the comments made by Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen in the last few international breaks, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 28-year-old Danish midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, publicly complained about his lack of playing time in the last two international breaks, highlighting how the experience wasn’t what he expected.

He has not started a game since the last international break and that partly may have been because of Conte’s feelings toward the matter.

Both the 51-year-old Italian coach and the Nerazzurri managed were unhappy with his comments.

The 28-year-old Eriksen is set to start against Cagliari this afternoon, his first start since the 2-2 draw against Parma at the end of October. He also hasn’t played more than five minutes in a single game since that draw.
