Inter wing back Achraf Hakimi’s injury suffered against Cagliari earlier today is not serious, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInter1908 earlier today.

The report details how the 22-year-old Moroccan wing back, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2025, asked to be substituted off against the Rossoblu earlier today in the 83rd minute, complaining of discomfort in his right ankle.

The injury is not particularly worrying, however, and is only a cramp due to a contusion. The 22-year-old Moroccan is expected to be able to face Napoli next Wednesday, in a key Serie A clash as both teams look to stay hot on the heels of the Rossoneri.

Hakimi, who joined Inter in a deal worth around €40 million from Real Madrid in the summer, has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 969 minutes.

In that time, he has scored three goals and provided four assists.
