Italian journalist Giovanni Capuano commented on Inter’s crucial 3-1 win over Cagliari earlier today in a post on his Twitter account after the game.

The Nerazzurri needed a strong result against the Rossoblu this afternoon after their painful performance against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this week, which eliminated them from the Champions League.

The Milanese club just needed a win to secure a spot in the Round of 16, but failed to find the back of the net, only achieving a 0-0 draw, leaving them bottom of the group after six games.

Inter are now second in the league table after the win over Cagliari, sitting on 24 points, two behind rivals and league leaders AC Milan.

Their next game is against Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli next Wednesday, an important fixture in the run—up to Christmas, considering the position of both teams in the league table.

Capuano discussed the game in a Tweet, saying:

“Inter plays well but goes behind with the Plan A. Then they overturn it, although suffering, with the Plan B. The moral? Plan Bs in the course of the game are an added value and can never be a problem.”
