Inter took their 4th win in the Serie A away against Cagliari after yet again coming from a goal behind to win 3-1.

The Nerazzurri started well and created 4 clear cut chances to take the lead but were denied by a phenomenal Alessio Cragno in goal.

So as we’ve come to expect this season, Cagliari took the lead and were close to a second but Nicolo Barella equalized and assisted Danilo D’Ambrosio to turn things around. Romelu Lukaku scored in the dying seconds to secure the win.

Samir Handanovic – 5: To blame for their goal, as he shouldn’t concede from that angle. Made a good save on Joao Pedro’s shot, but that could not make amends for the goal.

Milan Skriniar – 6.5: Imposing and intrusive presence in defence as always. Made a goal-saving block just prior to Sottil’s goal.

Stefan De Vrij – 6.5: Impressed at the start with clockwork precision in his positioning and challenges. His level dropped slightly by the end.

Alessandro Bastoni – 6: Got forward well, and should’ve scored. Timing of his challenges wasn’t best and on occassion or two left gaps behind him. Decent.

Matteo Darmian – 6: Got forward regularly as Cagliari rarely ran the flanks. His delivery was a mixed bag, made a late challange for the yellow.

Nicolo Barella – 8: Fought a hard battle with Rog all match. Full of energy, was a driving force scoring and assisting D’Ambrosio. Irreplaceable.

Marcelo Brozovic – 5.5: Error-prone performance from midfield maestro, his sloppy passes cost Inter possession and put his teammates in trouble. Needs to do better.

Ivan Perisic – 5: Evidently low on confidence as he can’t do the basics right. Looks a shell of himself. Was rightfully subbed off at halftime.

Christian Eriksen – 6: Started brightly, setting up opportunities, unlucky not to score. Faded after a good start, perhaps as he was asked to drop deeper. Shame for that.

Romelu Lukaku – 7: Link-up play on point, was eager to put himself on the scoresheet but lacked a finishing touch. He got there eventually at the death of the game.

Alexis Sanchez – 6.5: Ran himself to the ground, pressed tirelessly and always open for a pass. Should’ve scored on a couple of occasions but Cragno was up to the task.

Achraf Hakimi – 5.5: Seemed like he was on a different wavelength to his team-mates, his runs were ineffective and passes wayward. Hopefully not seriously injured.

Stefano Sensi – 6.5: Sensi showed what a technical player he is, linking up well and got in good positions even to score. Still lacks sharpness as expected.

Ashley Young – 6: Solidified his left flank after induction, aside from his initial burst forward lacked production.

Lautaro Martinez – 6: Showed desire to change the proceedings but eventually got in the way of Lukaku. Desperately needs a goal or two.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6.5: What a guy Double D is, always popping up where needed, and so he got on for unfortunate Hakimi and immediately scored for the lead. Santo Danilo.

Antonio Conte – 7: He finally made early subs that won the game, he changed to a different formation when things didn’t work and deserves the credit.

Fabrizio Pasqua – 5: In what was an extremely easy match to officiate he was unconvincing with his calls, blew soft and unexisting fauls, occasionally hit with blindness.

Inter – 6.5: Team attacked well and created chances, eventually got the fruits of the labor. Tho the situation after conceding did require more urgency in movement.
