Inter remembered the final league goal of legendary left back Giacinto Facchetti in a post on their Twitter page yesterday.
The Italian spent the entirety of his 18 year playing career with Inter, from 1960 to 1978. During those years, he won four league titles, a Coppa Italia, two European Cups and two Intercontinental Cups.
For the Nerazzurri, Facchetti made 637 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 57309 minutes. He scored 76 goals in that time.
Inter posted a video of his final league goal with the caption:
“OTD in 1976, Giacinto Facchetti, a one-club man and true Inter icon, scored his 59th and final league goal for the Nerazzurri against Sampdoria.”
