Christian Eriksen’s fortunes at Inter could be changed by a system change according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Danish national team attacking midfielder was given a rare opportunity to start yesterday as Inter played away to Cagliari and he made a good start in the game but then disappeared when he played deeper.

This report explains that if Inter manager Antonio Conte moved away from the current 3-5-2 system and went for a 4-3-1-2 system, Eriksen’s Inter career, which has been one to forget thus far, could be revived,

The Milan based newspaper go on to elaborate by adding that it is difficult to imagine Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez always playing up front with Alexis Sanchez in behind therefore new horizons could be opened for Eriksen at Inter if the system is changed to a 4-3-1-2.

This season the 28-year-old former Ajax player has made 12 appearances across all competitions to date but he has not scored or assisted any goals.
