Davide Massa will referee a match involving Inter for the 21st time in his career on Wednesday night when Inter take on Napoli at home.

In the 20 previous games that the 39-year-old, who has been a referee in Serie A since 2011, has refereed Inter in, the Nerazzurri have enjoyed great success.

Inter have won 13 of the games in which Massa has been the referee in the Serie A alone and have lost 3 and drawn 3 of the remaining 6 games, according to Transfermarkt.

It will also be the 21st time that he referees Napoli in all competitions and the Partenopei club have enjoyed even better success than Inter when Massa is in charge of the whistle. They’ve won 15, drawn two and lost three.

Inter and Napoli are clubs that Massa has refereed joint second most in his career with him having only refereed Torino more times, with him having refereed them on 24 occasions in his career as a referee.

Inter versus Napoli will see second play host to third. Kick off on Wednesday night is scheduled for 20:45 CET.
