Inter are one of a host of clubs with an interest in signing Sporting CP full back Nuno Mendes according to a report from the online edition of Portuguese news outlet O Jogo.
As per this report, Inter are in contention with Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United, despite the fact they have just brought in Alex Telles who plays the same position.
Inter’s arch rivals Juventus and city rivals AC Milan are also understood to be in for the highly rated 18-year-old, who is already part of the Portuguese under 21 national team set-up.
The report goes on to explain that the player and his agent Miguel Pinho are already in contact with Sporting CP over extending his current contract past 2025. There have already been first conversations on the topic and there could progress made this month.
This season Mendes has made 11 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal.
