AC Milan are to meet with Hakan Calhanoglu’s representatives tomorrow according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Calhangolu’s current deal with the Rossoneri club is due to expire at the end of the season and it appeared more likely that he would leave than sign a contract renewal but now it seems like the parties have come closer together again and as a result Calhanoglu and AC Milan’s relationship could continue past the end of this season.

AC Milan and the Turkish national team midfielder’s representatives are meeting to understand if and how it will be possible to reach an agreement over a new contract.

The former Bayer Leverkusen player has been linked with a few clubs given his current contractual situation with AC Milan’s city rivals Inter among those clubs to have been linked with him.

This season the 26-year-old has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided five assists.
