Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez will cost a maximum of €10-15 million according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.

Relations between the player and Atalanta have broken down which has led to intense speculation that he could leave the club in next month’s transfer window.

The report goes on to explain that Atalanta do not want to strengthen their competition in Italy, with Inter, AC Milan and Napoli all understood to be keen on signing him.

The player is aware that if he accepts an offer from an American club or a club in the middle east, he can kiss goodbye to the Argentine national team, something he does not wish to do as he dreams of playing in next Summer’s Copa America.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to conclude that his representatives will push Atalanta management to clarify the situation before the Christmas break.
