Nicolo Barella is an essential player for Antonio Conte’s Inter side according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Last Summer Barcelona made an enquiry about the highly rated Italian national team player but the COVID-19 pandemic meant that Barcelona moving to sign him became impossible.
In the coming months, the report warns that other offers could well arrive for the former Cagliari player, who has went from strength to strength since joining Inter in the Summer of 2019.
Offers could well come from France and Germany with Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo understood to be a fan of Barella but the report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that Inter will not be in the slightest bit tempted to let Barella go.
Barella has become a cornerstone at Inter and is quite simply not for sale both because of his importance on the pitch and because it is difficult to imagine that a club make an offer close to Inter’s expectations during this time.
