Contrary to what was reported earlier in the day, Gazzetta dello Sport, have now reported that Hakan Calhanoglu’s representatives will meet with AC Milan tonight, via their online edition.

Earlier on today the Milan based news outlet reported that they would meet with AC Milan tomorrow but the meeting is in fact happening tonight.

The parties are to meet to discuss a contract extension for the Turkish national team forward, whose current deal is due to expire at the end of this season.

AC Milan are currently willing to offer him a new deal worth €3.5 million a year whilst the player is seeking a new deal worth in excess of €5 million net a year. It is still a considerable gap to be closed and for this reason this meeting could be decisive.

The report goes on to add that in light of the difficulties in contract negotiations, Manchester United came forward and expressed an interest and the Milan based news outlet conclude that his agent Gordon Stipic has repeatedly denied having ongoing negotiations with either Inter or Juventus.
