Inter are interested in signing Genoa starlet Nicolo Rovella according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The highly rated 19-year-old’s contract with his current employers is due to expire at the end of the season but his agent is working on a contract renewal with the Rossoblu club that will include a small release clause of between €5-8 million.

The Rome based news outlet also go on to explain that Inter do not want to break relations with Genoa president Enrico Preziosi, who they have done plenty of deals with through the years.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta wants to get in ahead of several clubs including Juventus and foreign clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb to sign Rovella.

This season Rovella has made seven appearances across all competitions to date but he is yet to make any goal contributions when on the field.
