Matias Vecino will soon be back available to Inter manager Antonio Conte according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The Uruguayan national team central midfielder has been sidelined for several months after undergoing surgery on a knee injury and to date, he has received no communication from the club regarding his future and he continues to consider himself as part of the group.

It is his intention to try and get back into the team and seeing as Inter will not make any large investments in the next transfer window, Conte seems willing to give the former Fiorentina player another chance, this despite Conte’s comments following the win over Cagliari which suggested he wanted a thinner and more functional squad.

The report goes on to explain that it is difficult to imagine clubs lining up to sign Vecino who has been out of action for four months and there is a feeling that he may as well be given another chance.

This does not mean that under the right conditions Inter will not sell Vecino though, even if Christian Eriksen and Radja Nainggolan appear to be more likely to be sold.
