Inter wing-back Ashley Young has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to pay tribute to the late Gerard Houllier, who passed away on Monday aged 73.
Houllier was one of Aston Villa’s managers during Young’s spell with the Premier League side earlier on in his career and the veteran Englishman has sent his condolences to Houllier’s family following his passing.
Houllier also had spells in charge of Liverpool, Lens and Paris Saint-Germain during his management career.
Young posted: “RIP Gerard. Thank you for improving me. Condolences to your family. Great man not just manager.”
