Inter are opposed to Antonio Candreva returning to the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Secolo XIX.

Candreva departed the club for Sampdoria on loan during the most recent Summer tranfer window. There is an obligation to buy as part of the deal which comes into effect after the first point Sampdoria pick up from February onward.

Relations between Candreva and Sampdoria boss Claudio Ranieri have broken down and as a result Candreva is facing an uncertain future at the Blucerchiati club, just a few months after arriving.

The club are evaluating possible fines and his future. If the rupture between Candreva and Ranieri is irreparable, they will be faced with a problem due to the way Candreva’s transfer to them was structured.

Sampdoria could disrupt things and Candreva could end up back at Inter although Inter management are against this and him returning is not an option appreciated by Inter management.

The other solution would be for Sampdoria to buy him and then try and sell him on.
