Matteo Darmian is the favourite to start at right wing-back for Inter in tonight’s Serie A match at home to Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 36-time Italian national team representative appears set to retain his place in the Nerazzurri starting line-up with him currently favoured to start over fellow Summer transfer window recruit Achraf Hakimi.

Inter boss Antonio Conte will make some changes to the team that started in Sunday’s win over Cagliari with Roberto Gagliardini to replace Christian Eriksen in midfield, Ashley Young to replace Ivan Perisic at left wing-back and Lautaro Martinez to replace the injured Alexis Sanchez in the attack.

The report adds that Sanchez has an adductor problem and will be out for tonight’s match and this weekend’s match with Spezia. Arturo Vidal will also miss tonight due to injury.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Matteo Darmian, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Gagliardini, Ashley Young; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
