Signing Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik is currently nothing more than an idea for Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Polish national team striker has been completely frozen out at Napoli this season but despite this, Napoli continue to value him at €18 million, even though his contract with them is due to expire at the end of this season.

The player wants a deal worth €4.5 million a year and potential suitors are struggling to appear given the requests of both the club and the player.

Milik has been linked heavily with Inter in recent weeks and months but a move to Inter appears difficult to implement unless the clubs agree to a swap deal involving Milik and Matias Vecino, who Napoli have shown an interest in in the past.

It is unknown whether Inter are determined to go down the path to signing Milik but it is certain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio will have to work on the economics.
