Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has stated that winning the UEFA Champions League with Inter back in 2009/10 was one of the best days of his life.

“Best memory at Inter? Certainly on May 22nd 2010 when we won the Champions League in Madrid. It was one of the best days of my life,” he explained as part of a question and answer session which was held on Inter’s Instagram stories earlier on today.

The former Brazilian national team shot-stopper then went on to share which of the many saves he made during his career was his best one.

“For sure the one on Messi at Camp Nou in the Champions League semi final. It was beautiful, even for the player who shot.”

The final question saw him discuss which of the penalties he saved throughout his career was his best one and he responded: “I saved a lot of penalties, but in my opinion the one in the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 against Chile in the last 16 was a really beautiful moment for me.”

Cesar joined Inter in the Summer of 2005 from Chievo Verona and he spent the next seven years with Inter before departing for Queen’s Park Rangers.

The former Flamengo goalkeeper made a grand total of 300 appearances across all competitions for Inter during a trophy filled spell with the Nerazzurri club, which included a historic treble in 2009/10.
