Inter central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is currently regarded as doubtful for Inter’s upcoming Serie A match at home to newly promoted Spezia according to a repot in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian national team representative was forced off the field of play in Inter’s 1-0 win at home to Napoli last night on the 67th minute after sustaining a blow to his left foot near his ankle, which resulted in bruising.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that more in-depth examinations are required to understand the extent of the former Dinamo Zagreb player’s injury but given the Spezia match is just a few days away, he is considered to be a doubt.

This season the 28-year-old, who is contracted to the club until the end of next season, has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied two assists.
