Inter manager Antonio Conte is having to deal with a mini injury crisis in the midfield ahead of this weekend’s Serie A match at home to newly promoted Spezia according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Marcelo Brozovic took a knock to his left foot and had to come off in last night’s narrow 1-0 win and the Croatian’s condition is worrying, especially considering Matias Vecino is still recovering, Radja Nainggolan is far from top condition and Christian Eriksen is out of the Inter project.

Conte opted not to risk Arturo Vidal last night at San Siro but against Spezia he will hardly be able to do without him given the situation in the midfield, even if Stefano Sensi showed promising signs when he came on last night.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to add that it is almost impossible for Alexis Sanchez to be available for the Nerazzurri’s upcoming match due to a thigh injury.
