Villarreal have made an enquiry to Inter with regard to the availability of central midfielder Radja Nainggolan according to a report from Spanish news outlet TodoFichajes.com.

Following Vicente Iborra’s injury, which has ruled him out for the remainder of the season, they are on the look out for a player they could bring in and fill the void.

Nainggolan has struggled to get into the Inter team this season and the report claims that Inter have been looking for a way to get rid of him for a long time.

Cagliari, who he spent last season on loan with, appeared best placed to try and sign him but the interest of Villarreal could well change the mind of the Belgian midfielder, who has been with Inter since the Summer of 2018.

This season Nainggolan has been limited to just five substitute appearances across all competitions and he has only been on the park for a total of 45 minutes, in which he has made no goal contributions.
